Two years ago I made a brave (and scary) decision to quit a job I loved in order to pursue writing full-time. Since then, I have written a devotional book that I would like to get into the hands of a literary agent and publisher. However, the way the publishing industry works, agents and publishers want you to have a sizable “platform” of engaged followers. My platform includes my blog, my Facebook friends and Instagram followers, and now an email list.
